Dick’s Sporting Goods - Calia

Dick’s Sporting Goods’ was looking to feature an athlete balancing the discomfort of trying something new with the comfort of their women’s activewear brand Calia. In this video, we watch as Olympic gymnast Emma Malabuyo tries jazz dance for the first time, learning from dancer and wellness influencer Candice Bolden. Filmed in Los Angeles, the video features a Peerspace location that is bright and spacious. To bring the video together, I rented a seamless cloth background, a few potted plants, and 2x glass-less mirrors on wheels for easy movement and loading/unloading. We were provided a ton of Calia branded products that made their way into the video and with our on-set Director and Creative Lead’s collaboration, our talent were able to get across Calia’s priority messaging with a lax, almost DWTS rehearsal vibe. Producing and hiring crew, I was in charge of budgeting, gear rentals, crew meals and day-of shoot schedule.
