Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass
The Space Needle and Chihuly Garden and Glass collaborated with our travel brand, Thrillist, to reach audiences with two unique perspectives on their iconic Seattle landmarks. Reaching Seattle natives, the first video was through the eyes of George Ma, a travel blogger who calls Seattle home and had kept the Space Needle on his bucket list for years. Aimed at artists and creatives, the second video was hosted by Nathan Billings, a travel photographer who found visual inspiration in every piece featured at the Chihuly exhibit. My role for this project was not only to conduct typical production duties—organize budgets and travel, collaborate with our Creative Director on scripts, secure appearance releases, handle client and other stakeholders on set—but also to direct talent on set while filming and recording audio. For less than half of our budget ($6.5K of $15K), I was able to produce these two social-first videos and meet the needs of our Creative Director on my own in a run-and-gun style shooting process.
